Description
Leukostrip wound closure strips are made of 100% polyamide and feature a hypoallergenic adhesive layer that allows for nearly painless wound closure. The material is elastic and stretches with any swelling that may occur. Leukostrip will return to its original shape after the swelling subsides.
By replacing sutures on the third postoperative day with a wound closure using Leukostrip, the scar formation at the site of the incision is minimized, thereby reducing the risk of unsightly zipper-like scarring as much as possible. Leukostrip can also be used in combination with subcutaneous or intracutaneous sutures or as a supplement to staples.
