Description
An extinguishing blanket or fire blanket is a blanket that can be placed over a fire to extinguish it in the early stages. The fabric is made of a non-flammable or very poorly flammable material, possibly coated with a fire-retardant substance.
By depriving the fire of oxygen, the blanket extinguishes the flames. The extinguishing medium is suitable for small fires.
For a fryer fire (also known as an oil and fat fire or flames in the pan), a fire blanket is not an appropriate extinguishing method!
Instructions for Use
• Pull the fire blanket out of the tube using the handles.
• Hold the fire blanket by the handles in front of your body for protection against the flames.
• Place the fire blanket over the fire source and leave it there until the fire is out.
• Replace the fire blanket after use.
