Leukotape classic is made from non-stretch, white cotton fabric. The tape has a high adhesive and tensile strength. The zinc oxide rubber adhesive ensures excellent bonding, both on the skin and on any skin protective underlying layer. Even under heavy load, the tape remains firmly in place. The rigidity of the material provides a stabilizing effect, both mechanically and proprioceptively.
The outer side of the backing material is impregnated and water-repellent. The plastic core of Leukotape classic has rounded edges, so it does not cut into the skin when unwound.
Leukotape classic is, thanks to the lightly serrated edge, easily tearable by hand lengthwise or widthwise, making the use of scissors unnecessary. This tearability does not affect the tensile strength of the backing material, allowing large forces to be absorbed with Leukotape classic.
