Description
Leukostrip wound closure strips are made of 100% polyamide and feature a hypoallergenic adhesive layer that allows for an almost painless closure of wounds. The material is elastic and stretches in response to any swelling that may occur. After the swelling has subsided, Leukostrip returns to its original shape.
By replacing stitches with a wound closure using Leukostrip on the third postoperative day, scar formation at the site of the incision can be minimized, significantly reducing the risk of an unsightly zipper effect. Leukostrip can also be combined with subcutaneous or intradermal stitches or used as a supplement with staples.
