Description
Leukostrip wound closure strips are made from 100% polyamide with a hypoallergenic adhesive layer that allows for virtually painless wound closure. The material is elastic and stretches with any potential swelling. Leukostrip returns to its original shape after the swelling has subsided.
By replacing sutures on the third postoperative day with a wound closure using Leukostrip, scar formation at the site of the entry point is minimized, thereby preventing an unsightly zipper effect as much as possible. Leukostrip can also be combined with subcutaneous or intracutaneous sutures or used as an adjunct with staples.
Properties
