Description
Leukoplast is a skin-colored adhesive bandage made from viscose fabric. The adhesive mass of zinc oxide rubber provides a strong and lasting adhesion, even when the bandage is under considerable tension.
Additionally, the zinc oxide rubber adhesive of Leukoplast has been made permeable to air and water vapor through a special process. This prevents an airtight seal, prevents the skin from softening, and reduces the risk of other skin irritations.
Leukoplast is particularly strong and versatile for use on patients with normal skin. The very high tensile strength of the adhesive bandage makes Leukoplast suitable for the fixation of compresses and gauzes of all sizes. The bandage is easy to unwind and can, despite its high tensile strength, be easily torn by hand. Leukoplast is water-repellent.
