Vinyl is one of the types of synthetic materials commonly used for examination gloves. Vinyl gloves fit slightly looser around the hand compared to latex gloves, for example. An added benefit of vinyl is that it is cheaper than latex and does not contain latex proteins and accelerators.
The (synthetic) vinyl gloves are recommended for latex allergies.
