Description
This packaging contains one pair of pediatric defibrillation electrodes for the LIFELINE AED. The AED electrodes can be stored in the AED.
The pediatric AED electrodes are for single use and have a shelf life of 2 years.
Why pediatric AED electrodes?
Children can also become victims of acute cardiac arrest. A child’s body weighing 25 kg or less (approximately 8 years old and younger) can absorb less energy than a more mature body. Therefore, the Defibtech AED pediatric electrodes contain a resistance that reduces the shock from 150 Joules to 50 Joules. Additionally, the surface area of the pediatric AED electrodes is smaller, allowing for better placement on a child. Defibtech recommends including pediatric AED electrodes when an AED is installed in locations frequented by children, such as schools, swimming pools, sports complexes, etc.
