Properties
The carrier material of Tensoplast consists of cotton/artificial silk. This superior adhesive bandage has excellent elasticity, allowing for the desired compression to be dosed according to indication. The classic adhesive layer made of zinc oxide is applied in a specially porous manner onto the carrier material. This allows Tensoplast to let air and moisture pass through, enabling the skin to breathe. This prevents the softening of the skin. The adhesive layer also ensures optimal adhesion to the skin. This keeps the dressing in place, even when worn for extended periods of time. The soft edges without selvage prevent wrinkling and constriction. Therefore, Tensoplast provides optimal wearing comfort for the patient.
