Description
Medical quality burn wound compress saturated with a cooling gel. This gel is made according to a patented scientific formula. The wound is cooled immediately after applying the Burnshield compress, preventing further damage to the already affected tissue.
Burnshield is a first aid care product for the initial phase of burn treatment. It is a so-called hydrogel made from pure demineralized water, disinfecting Tea Tree oil, and a medicinal gel-forming agent. It is thicker than water and does not evaporate.
Burnshield can be used as an alternative in locations where no water is available and as a supplement to cooling with (preferably) lukewarm water. The principle of heat extraction is applied with Burnshield.
The burn is cooled by transferring the heat from the damaged skin to the hydrogel. Subsequently, the heat is not retained in the gel but released to the environment. Therefore, the heat from the burn is quickly dissipated. A layer of WaterJel compress shields the burn from harmful bacteria, thus preventing infections.
