Description
Maalox contains a compound of magnesium and aluminum. These are strong acid-binding agents. Magnesium compounds alone work as a laxative, while aluminum compounds work solely to stop diarrhea. When these substances are used together, as in Maalox, their effects cancel each other out and stomach complaints disappear without causing diarrhea or constipation.
The dosage of Maalox is one tablet 4 times a day (= 24 hours). The tablets should be taken one hour after meals and one tablet before going to bed.
This product will be available again from the end of February.
